This diptych pairs two panels of collaged handwoven cloth and family photos: the top panel features fragments of handwoven cloth surrounding two copies of a family photo from the beach in the 1970s, capturing the moment the ocean reclaimed the sand castle my sister and I had been building woven in to eachother; the bottom panel mimics the arrangement of the figures in the above photo with a collage of handwoven fabric.
